PSPO I vs PSPO II
What does PSPO II add over PSPO I?
Short answer
PSPO II is worth it once you own a real backlog and real stakeholders.
PSPO I spends much of its 80 questions on the Scrum framework. PSPO II assumes all of that and spends its 40 questions on the hard parts of the job.
That means Evidence-Based Management in depth, validating assumptions instead of gathering requirements, stakeholders with genuinely competing interests, and forecasting honestly when you do not know.
The time pressure is sharper than it looks: 40 questions in 60 minutes is 90 seconds each, against three minutes per question on PSM II.
If your day involves being told what to build rather than deciding it, PSPO II will test judgement you have not yet had the chance to develop.
