What the numbers mean in practice
6 wrong answers is your entire margin
At 85% there is almost no room for a careless mistake. Candidates who fail usually do so by one or two questions, and the cause is normally misreading a question rather than not knowing the material.
90 seconds per question
That is enough time to read a scenario carefully, which is what this exam requires — the questions are longer and several answers are usually defensible.
Open book, but not in a useful way
Scrum.org runs this assessment online and unsupervised, so nothing physically prevents you consulting notes. The timing does. Treat it as closed book and you will pace it correctly.
Topics assessed
PSPO II draws on 6 areas. The counts show how many practice questions we hold for each, which is a reasonable proxy for how much ground each covers.

How PSPO II compares
PSPO II exam questions
85%, which is 34 of 40 questions, in 60 minutes.
Evidence-Based Management in depth, product discovery and validation, stakeholder conflict, and forecasting under genuine uncertainty. The framework recall that fills much of PSPO I is assumed rather than tested.
They are comparable. PSPO II gives you 90 seconds per question against 3 minutes for PSM II, so the pressure is different: less deliberation, more instinct built from practice.
